The Founder
My name is Alan Saenz, I began my artistic journey from early childhood and decided to pursue creative entrepreneurship as a career. So i built this platform to showcase artists, share stories, images, art, and work with brands creatively.
X Y V E, a name with roots in my creative journey. Emerged from my old Instagram handle, asnarchive, originally my finsta—a place for sharing all the portraits I captured.
When establishing my business, I sought a name that could evolve while staying connected to my beginnings. The pronunciation, (Shive), draws inspiration from the Nahuatl language, where the 'X' is pronounced with a subtle "shh" sound. In Spanish, my first language, 'archive' translates to 'archivo’ retaining the ‘ch’ sound.
I aimed for simplicity, though explaining the pronunciation adds a layer of complexity. The name gradually evolved from the Spanish 'archivo,' with the 'x' replacing the traditional 'ch,' blending Nahuatl, Spanish and English pronunciation.
In the end, it's more than a name; it's a fusion of languages and a nod to the diverse influences that shape my creative expression. Thank you for joining me on this linguistic adventure with XYVE.
